Containerized Activities
Port Information :
- Location on the West Coast of the Gulf Suez, approximately 30 nautical miles south of the Suez Canal.
- The entrance to the Port (Fairway Buoy) being Latitude 29'38.9'N & Longitude 32'24.5 E.
- The Port is navigational 24 hours with navigational aids in place.
- Two Tugboats operate within the Port and towage is available 24 hrs a day.
- Safe Navigation in the channel up to 17.5 meters below day datum.
- Currently main berth, excellent fender age, 750 meters with a cross quay / turning area of 350 meters.
- Additional turning basin of 650 meters.
- Container vessels on Window basis, but if out of window on first arrival basis. Working hours are 24 hrs a day ,7 days a week.
- Vessels on first arrival basis, no berth congestion but Passenger vessels have priority.
- No air draft problems .
- 365 working days a year.
Container Storage Area :
- Container terminal yard space is 41hectare .
- Ground slot 4600 TEU.
- Full Containers capacity are 17000 TEU.
- Empty Containers capacity are 7000 TEU.
- 216 Reefer plug points.
- CFS Warehouse space is 4000 m².
